Souvenir Fair 2026 at Seoul's DDP

The Souvenir Fair is scheduled for November 20–22, 2026, at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Art Halls 1 and 2 in Seoul. If you want to see Korean souvenir competition winners during your trip, consider it as a flexible stop rather than a tightly scheduled shopping trip.

The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) says the event will feature a range of souvenirs, including winning entries. Its competition results offer a preview of the kinds of objects recognized, from a Jeju stone-figure doorstop to embroidered designs.

When is the Souvenir Fair?

The announced dates are Friday, November 20, through Sunday, November 22. The venue is DDP Art Halls 1 and 2. Note the hall names as well as the building name when checking the venue.

A day within that range may fit your trip, but the date alone does not tell you when the doors open. KTO also mentions an awards ceremony; its time and attendance conditions are not specified.

What did the competition recognize?

The competition named 25 final winning entries in general and local-specialty categories. The grand prize went to a local-specialty entry titled ‘Baudeogi's Brilliant Stage, Unfolded on the Table’ in translation. A general-category gold award went to Korea's Gyeol Collection.

Other results show the range of entries. A Jeju stone-figure doorstop received a silver award in the local-specialty category. A 300-piece puzzle featuring an embroidered twin-tiger design received a bronze award in the general category. The list also includes a cup set and an embroidered handkerchief featuring the sun, moon and five peaks.

Special-award entries include a mini bojagi magnet and a Seoul magpie bag. Bojagi is a Korean wrapping cloth. Three global popularity award winners are due to be announced at the fair.

Choosing a reason to go

The Souvenir Fair is a possible stop if you enjoy browsing Korean design and your Seoul dates overlap the event. The results list lets you choose an area of interest in advance: an everyday object such as the doorstop, a puzzle, or a small decorative item such as the magnet.

If your main goal is to buy a particular gift, the results list is only a starting point. It names winners and award categories, but does not confirm individual products for sale, their prices, or where a particular entry will be displayed. Ask the organizer about the item before making a dedicated journey.

Before leaving for DDP

Start with the KTO winners notice linked below, then use its souvenir-event website to look for newer visitor information. Match the year, event name and venue: details from an earlier fair may not apply to this one.

The notice does not establish the 2026 opening or last-entry times, admission fee, registration or walk-in rules, or English-language assistance. If these details determine whether a visit fits your plans, check with the organizer before setting aside time. A different stop may be easier if you need a confirmed schedule or budget.

The notice is in Korean. A browser translation can help you scan it; keep the original open to compare names and dates. If an entry catches your eye, save its Korean name from the results list to make a question about that item more precise. Use ‘Dongdaemun Design Plaza’ and the art hall names when checking a current map and entrance information.

The results list and the fair

KTO's winners notice is dated August 28, 2026 in its announcement list. It connects the competition to the Souvenir Fair, while the separate global popularity award winners are to be announced at the event. Look for a newer organizer update if those results are your main interest.
